BUILD
AFRICAN
CINEMA.
Bano Studios is a Nigerian indie film studio with 11 films completed since 2019, an annual filmmaking bootcamp, and a screenwriting competition pipeline. We are looking for capital partners — cash, equipment, or tenured loans — to grow into the A24 of Nigeria.

A FOUNDED,
FUNCTIONING
STUDIO.
We launched in 2019 with our first film "Expectations" — shot on an iPhone 6 — which won the African Smartphone International Film Festival in 2021. Since then we've shipped 10 more films, built an annual bootcamp, run a screenwriting competition, and assembled enough equipment to keep producing without a single new investor cheque.
Your capital does not fund the existence of the studio — it funds the next ambition: bigger films, better equipment, more reach. We are inviting partners for the leap from "small studio that ships" to "the A24 of Nigeria".

Back a specific film
Short film, series, three-part film, feature, or comedy. Fund a project in development or pre-production. Per-project deal structures — revenue share, EP credit, recoupment plus premium.

Long-term operating partnership. You bring capital, we bring expertise + equipment + the talent pipeline. 6 / 12 / 24 months or per slate. Not equity in Bano — revenue-shared projects across the window.

Sponsor any part of Bano — the bootcamp, the screenwriting competition prize pool, an individual film's credits, equipment, or the 2027 Short Film Festival. Custom packages, no fixed tiers.

Back a specific Bano Studios production — short film, series, three-part film, feature, or comedy series. You can come in on projects in development OR pre-production. Returns are deal-by-deal: typically a percentage of net distribution revenue, named executive producer credit, recoupment plus a premium, or a combination — structured to standard practice for each project.

Untitled 3-Part Film
A mini-trilogy following three siblings across three decades as a single family secret slowly resurfaces and reshapes their lives.
Untitled Feature Film
A feature-length thriller set in a forgotten Northern town where a returning prodigal must outrun a past she thought she had buried.

What is a "slate"?
A slate is a bundle of films a studio plans to produce together — say 5 films over 18 months. Instead of backing one specific film and taking the risk that it underperforms, you back the whole slate. If one film flops but another over-performs, your returns balance out across the bundle.
For early-stage indie investors, a slate deal is often the safer way in. We discuss slate structures inside the Studio Partnership avenue below — you commit capital up front, we commit a defined number of productions over a defined window, recoupment comes from collective revenues across all of them.
RUN A SLATE
WITH US.
A long-term operating partnership. You bring capital — cash, equipment, or a tenured loan structure. We bring the expertise, equipment we already own, the production team, and the bootcamp talent pipeline. Revenues from films we produce together are shared per the agreed structure across the partnership window.
This is not equity in Bano Studios as a company — it is a project-and-revenue partnership. You can structure it short (6 months, one film), medium (12-24 months, several films), or as a slate deal (a fixed bundle of films over a defined window).
- → COMMITMENT: 6 / 12 / 24 MONTHS · OR PER SLATE
- → CAPITAL FORMS: CASH · EQUIPMENT · TENURED LOAN
- → NO MINIMUM — START THE CONVERSATION
- → NOT EQUITY — REVENUE-SHARED PROJECTS ACROSS THE WINDOW

PUT YOUR
BRAND ON
CULTURE.
Sponsor any part of the Bano Studios universe — the annual Filmmaking Bootcamp, the Screenwriting Competition prize pool, an individual film's credits, equipment ("the Sony FX9 donated by [BRAND]"), or the Short Film Festival when it launches in 2027. Every sponsorship is structured custom — there are no fixed bronze/silver/gold tiers, just a conversation.
- → SPONSOR: FESTIVAL · BOOTCAMP · FILM · EQUIPMENT · COMPETITION PRIZE
- → CUSTOM PACKAGES — NOT TIERED
- → NAMING RIGHTS / CREDITS / LOGO PLACEMENT
- → CASH OR IN-KIND (EQUIPMENT, SERVICES)
